Brechin Rotary – Watson-Watt Duct Race and Bag Pack at Brechin Co-op

Brechin Rotary joined forces with the Watson Watt Society for a bag-pack & duck race, which raised about £550 to be shared between the Society and RYLA (the Rotary Youth Leadership Award scheme)

“Tiger” Dempsey helped Steve Nicoll and Brian Mitchell from Watson Watt, then (minus his suit) attended as duck-trainer, along with Charlie Allison & Paul Roberts, to run the races.

The winning “owner” from Edzell donated his £50 back to the charities. The £25 runner-up was Mrs Mary Price of Newton of Stracathro and a third prize of £10 was won by Mrs Mary
Murphy of Wards Road.

Both organisations wish to thank the Co-op and their customers, including a good-natured bus-load of Rangers supporters who all put money in our buckets.
